Nicole Perry is a director, choreographer, actor and dancer.
Nicole teaches dance and drama as academic subjects, exposing students to the theory and history of the art, as well as the practice. She provides audition coaching for dance and theatre. Her students have won multiple awards in musical theatre, monologues, technical theatre and production. They have been accepted to arts schools, university programs, and festivals around the country.
Professional choreography highlights include The Miami Children’s Theatre, Center City Opera Theater's World Premiere of "The Always Present Present", and 2 full seasons as the resident choreographer at Hedgerow Theatre, including their World Premiere of a revised "An American Tragedy "! Her most recent directing credits is with the Stoneman Theatre Company at the Fort Lauderdale Fringe Festival. Her recent performance credits include playing Veronica in God of Carnage at Chicken Coop Theatre and dancing the role of the Mute in The Fantasticks with Curtain Call Playhouse.
She has won awards for both choreography and pedagogy. She now coaches a competitive salsa team on performance quality and characterization. Nicole teaches creative movement, ballet, jazz, and modern for all ages and levels.
She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance, as well as a degree in Music (piano and voice concentrations), from Eastern University. She is currently a PhD, ABD in Theology and the Arts (specifically the intersection of Body Theology with Dance and Theatre) at Ocean Seminary.
Nicole is a certified Pilates Instructor through the prestigious Romana’s Pilates program. She is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and TYA/USA.
