Detox

I’ve always considered myself a disciplined person. Lately though, I feel that slipping. I haven’t been working out as hard as usual. I’ve been eating out a lot. And drinking out a lot. So, this week, I’m going to detox. Veggies, fruit, oatmeal, green tea and water.

It’s Monday morning as I sit to write this. I’m already trying to find excuses. I want coffee! I have 3 events to go to this week as well. It would be VERY easy to just say “Oh, I’ll do this next week.” But the truth is- you have to start sometime. There was always be a reason to NOT do something.

I know my body very well. I make my living reading my body and other people’s bodies. I know that this is what I need to do. Purge my system of all the processed crap. Motivated or not. Easy or not.

Has anyone done a detox/cleanse? What was your reason? Did it work? Feel free to share your detox/cleanse experiences, good or bad!
