Nicole Perry, MFA, CLMA, CID/C is an award-winning intimacy director, as well as intimacy coordinator and dance choreographer. Career highlights include 3 Broward County Artist Investment Grants for KINesphere (site-inspired dance), intimacy coordination for God Forbid (Hulu), and a Carbonell nomination for the intimacy direction of To Fall in Love (Theatre Lab).
She is currently the Miami Unit Intimacy Coordinator for three new 24-25 TV series. She is on the SAG-AFTRA Intimacy Coordinator pre-registry.
She is available for freelance hire, both on location and virtually.
Nicole is a Certified Intimacy Director and Certified Intimacy Coordinator with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators. She has trained with IDC, IDI, IPA, TIE, and Intimacy for Stage and Screen (UK). She holds an MFA from Goddard College in Interdisciplinary Arts, with concentrations in Performance Creation and Decolonial Arts Praxis. Her thesis: Working Consent: Ethical Engagement with Collaborators, Students, Audiences, and the Land in Dance and Theatre Pedagogy and Practice. Nicole is a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst. Her certifying project combined L/BMS and Intimacy Choreography.

She recently published “Motif Writing (LBMA) for Meaning-Making and Show Maintenance in Intimacy Choreography” in the peer-reviewed Journal of Movement Arts Literacy. Her book on consent in movement pedagogy will be published by Routledge in 2026.
Nicole is the founder of Momentum Stage, Inc., which offers professional development for artists, arts educators, and arts organizations on the topics of touch, trauma-awareness, consent, Laban/Bartenieff for performers, and more. She has delivered trainings for dancers, actors, and teachers at universities and organizations around the world. Nicole has taught extended courses in the Ethics of Touch for Momentum, the Laban Institute for Movement Studies (USA), and the National Dance Education Organization (USA). With Momentum Stage, she is a recipient of the Doris Duke Foundation Performing Arts and Technologies Grant.
Nicole has taught Movement and Dance at several educational institutions in South Florida including the Palm Beach County School District, Lynn University, and the University of Miami. She is also a certified Pilates instructor through Romana’s Pilates, a classical Pilates organization.
Along with Sarah Lozoff and Renee Redding-Jones, Nicole founded Intimacy Direction In Dance, connecting classical ballet and concert dance companies and conservatory and university dance programs to Intimacy Directors skilled in dance.
She is also a founding member of Florida Intimacy Professionals, creating community and standards for staged intimacy work in the state.
She teaches Intimacy and Movement for Intimacy Professionals Education Collective.
She is also a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, the National Dance Education Organization, the Dance Studies Association, and the Association of Theatre Movement Educators. She serves on the board of the South Florida Theatre League.
