The Little Mermaid

  • Fort Lauderdale, FL (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

While riding out a thunderstorm in their home, a family invests in the wonder and joy of shared storytelling to create their own version of the classic Hans Christian Anderson fable. This new adaptation uses comedy, music, dance, and a little magic to bring the timeless story of love and adventure to life. This once cautionary tale about a “disobedient girl” gets turned on its head and encourages young people to trust their inner voice and be unafraid to pursue their own path.

Saturdays at 11am and 3pm.

Sundays at 3pm.

As Southeast Regional Premiere.

Starring: Thaylin Maria, Dayana Morales, Kimberly Nicole Harvey, Anthony Blatter, and Sabrín Diehl.

Directed by Matt Stabile

Choreography by Nicole Perry

Miami Film Festival: What is an Intimacy Coordinator Conversation

An Intimacy Coordinator is one of the newest roles in TV and film production. But what exactly do they DO? How do they support the vision of the director, while also upholding the boundaries of the actors, and make sure, at the end of the filming day, everyone goes home, proud of their work? In this interactive conversation with Nicole Perry, certified Intimacy Coordinator, we will explore what goes into an "intimate scene", what an Intimacy Coordinator can bring to a production, and frameworks for consent and boundary communications for actors and directions in all the work they do.
