M.I.A. Premiers on Peacock
The new Peacock series, M.I.A., filmed entirely in South Florida, drops on Peacock!
Restless in the Florida Keys, Etta Tiger Jonze dreams of a glittering life in Miami. But when her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly that will define who she is and what she’s ultimately capable of.
Shot in Miami, M.I.A. is executive produced by creator Bill Dubuque (Ozark), showrunner Karen Campbell (Dexter, Outlander), and Alethea Jones (Spider-Noir), who also directed the first two episodes of this new Peacock crime series. The cast features Shannon Gisela, Cary Elwes, Danay Garcia, Brittany Adebumola, Dylan T. Jackson, Alberto Guerra, Maurice Compte, Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans.
I had the honor of being the Intimacy Coordinator for this series.

Miami Film Festival: What is an Intimacy Coordinator Conversation
An Intimacy Coordinator is one of the newest roles in TV and film production. But what exactly do they DO? How do they support the vision of the director, while also upholding the boundaries of the actors, and make sure, at the end of the filming day, everyone goes home, proud of their work? In this interactive conversation with Nicole Perry, certified Intimacy Coordinator, we will explore what goes into an "intimate scene", what an Intimacy Coordinator can bring to a production, and frameworks for consent and boundary communications for actors and directions in all the work they do.

You have a chance, wherever you are in the world, to catch this beautiful film by one of Miami’s best directors (don’t take my word for it, the New Times said so), and biggest film advocates, Chris Molina! The film is part of the Out on Film Festival in Atlanta.
Catch it now online. Or head to Midtown Landmark Theatre on Sept. 27 to watch it on the big screen!
